Neil Gaiman parle de Tori Amos, qui chante une de mes chansons préférées : Silent All These Years. La Tori de cette époque me manque, je n’accroche plus vraiment à ces derniers albums.. tristesse.

(I was her guest in the audience of this recording, done for the Jonathan Ross show in 1992. She was so nervous. We were kids who liked talking to each other, so much, and she loved Sandman and I loved that she’d put me in a song. It seems like yesterday.)

Neil Gaiman est l’un de mes auteurs préférés. Je me souviens l’avoir découvert en lisant le roman “De bons présages” (Good Omens en v.o.) co-écrit avec Terry Pratchett. Il a assité à la cérémonie des Oscars cette année parce que l’adaptation de “Coraline”, un de ses derniers livres, s’est vue nommée dans la catégorie meilleur dessin animé. Mais “Là-haut” (Up en v.o.) étant également en lice, Neil Gaiman y est allé tout en sachant très bien qu’il ne gagnerait pas… C’est donc pour tromper l’ennui (et la mélancholie en ce jour anniversaire de la mort de son père) qu’il a twitté toute la soirée. Moi-même ayant eu la flemme de veiller pour regarder la cérémonie je me suis bien amusée à lire ses premiers tweets juste avant d’aller me coucher… j’ai lu le reste le lendemain matin!
