Neil Gaiman parle de Tori Amos, qui chante une de mes chansons préférées : Silent All These Years. La Tori de cette époque me manque, je n’accroche plus vraiment à ces derniers albums.. tristesse.

Dans la catégorie album de noël, celui de Tom Smith (Editors) & Andy Burrows (We Are Scientists) est sans doute mon favori de 2011, après l’album de Florent Marchet “Noël’s Songs” (évidemment!). Noël est passé mais je pense que j’écouterai encore longtemps cette chanson…

Sea Wolf (Alex Brown Church) prépare un troisième album!! En attendant, voici un extrait d’un 7” vinyl sorti à l’occasion du Black Friday, le 25 novembre dernier. Dispo chez Dangerbird Records. J’adore ce titre “Where the Wind blows”.

“This song was written in 2008 and was recorded during the “White Water, White Bloom” sessions. I’d spent a good deal of time working on the song, but never could quite get it to a place where I was happy with it. Once in the studio however, producer Mike Mogis suggested we start from scratch and build the song live as a group. It was a fun experience, because while I’m more of a puzzler and like to spend time really arranging all of the little details, Mogis tends to like things loose and spontaneous, which gave us permission to just let go and let the song happen…

Revolver ” Winter Song”

Bien que je sois un peu passée à côté de leur premier album, je trouve cet extrait de leur EP “Winter Song” vraiment top. Ce petit côté pop à la Phoenix n’est pas pour me déplaire ! Sortie le 12 décembre.

Ryan Adams - New York, New York au piano dans les studios d’Abbey Road en novembre dernier…

C’est sans doute LE concert que j’attends le plus en 2012 : Dawes passera enfin en France, le 27 février à la Flèche d’or, aaaaah!!!
